Final Reflection

FINAL REFLECTION
When I started my internship at the library, my goals were to learn how to deal with kids and how to shelve books, and I did achieved my goals working hard and putting all my effort in my internship. The most important skills that I learn during this period was my skill to work with kids and be patient with them, because I didn’t have experience working with kids so this internship helped me a lot working with kids of different ages. I grown as a person by helping my community and making some changes at the library that going to help people for example creating games for the kids and enjoying with them every time that they were at the library, I made them feel like they were at home, and it made me feel good, it was really a pleasure work with my supervisor that is a really professional librarian and I learned a lot from her. The memorable moments at my internship were when I met the kids and started playing with them, it was an awesome experience for me, when I created games for them and they liked it a lot that wanted to play over and over again, and the last day of my internship, when my co-workers felt sad because they going to miss me and I’ll do it too. After I had these experiences at my internship side, I see the world in a different way and I see my self being a professional in a future, and I know that these skills that I gained from my internship, will help me a lot in my carrier. Before I started this internship, I was interested in go to college but now that I had these amazing experiences, I really would love to attend college and study  the carrier that I always dream about, that is criminal justice, I know that my internship is not related to my carrier but I gained many skills that going to be helpful in the carrier that I want to pursue. My biggest challenges at my internship side was when I have to clean all the mess that kids made after play in the library, and I did challenged this being patient with them. If I start a new internship I would like to be something about criminology. I’ll miss a lot of things about my internship like playing with the kids, and having fun with my co-workers, giving computer classes to elderly people it was awesome and meeting new people everyday.
